Nick Williamson joined Waverley as Interim CEO before quickly realising it was exactly where he wanted to be. With a strong background in the health sector, both in advisory roles and senior management, he had been looking for a leadership position in the broader care industry, including disability and aged care. The opportunity to lead Waverley, with its unique combination of social impact and commercial capability, proved to be the perfect fit.
Nick is known for his strategic vision and ability to see the “big picture.” He thrives on exploring what’s possible and mapping a path to get there. For Waverley, that means recognising the organisation’s many growth opportunities while ensuring focus and excellence in service delivery.
What Nick enjoys most is connecting with people across the organisation. He knows most of the team personally and believes spending time alongside supported employees is one of the most rewarding parts of his role. He also relishes steering Waverley through a period of growth and evolution, ensuring the foundations are in place to deliver on its ambitious vision.
Since stepping into the CEO role, Nick has been proud to see the organisation move steadily towards its strategic goals, building the structures and capabilities needed for long-term success.
Outside of work, Nick is a devoted Collingwood supporter, a regular basketball player, and the proud owner of two lively dogs who keep him grounded and balanced.
